Show Notes:
Most people are familiar with Biblical parables, especially those recounted by Jesus. But all traditions around the world have their own wonderful tales too. Here is a great Sufi parable I found some time ago, about the bird and the hunter.
Aesop is one of the world’s most renowned storytellers. His fables of speaking animals are told and re-told to this day. Here is the fable of the goat and the vine.
Amanda Lewan, a story Blogger, gives 100 ways to get inspired as a writer.
Another, bit more traditional, and yet, non sequitur way to get inspired… Oblique Strategies by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt.
Here’s an interesting iPhone app called Prompts, which does exactly as the title indicates. It gives you writing prompts and other help to overcome writer’s block.
