Everyone seems to be talking about mindfulness these days. But to be mindful of what? And why? Here is one of the best reasons I’ve ever seen to practice mindfulness… A performance by world-renowned violinist, Joshua Bell, in a Washington D.C. subway station, playing Bach on a $3 million Stradivarius violin, and noticed by…. nobody. As an added bonus, I’ve linked to the original, brilliant Washington Post article where I first read this story back in 2007.

One of the newer offshoots of mindfulness is mindful eating. If you’re interested in what that means, check out this New York Times article, as well as the Center for Mindful Eating.
